How do I create a DNS record for my root domain?

DNS A-records can be used to configure zone apex domains (also called bare, naked, or root domains).  DNS A-records require that an IP address be hard-coded into your DNS configuration.

To create a root DNS record, simply click Domain Settings on Domain Name and then click on the Advanced DNS tab.  Click the Add New Record button to create the new record.  Check out this example below using a sample IP address:
