Setting up Google Apps for Work in Thunderbird is a breeze, so what are you waiting for?
Open Thunderbird and click Email under Create a new account in the Accounts section
Click "Skip this and use my existing email" and enter your POP Account information here and click Continue
Allow several minutes for the account to be found and to authenticate. Select IMAP and click 'Done'
Ta-da! You're all done. Your emails should begin to download into Thunderbird
